Thompson Tee

Thompson Tee makes a sweat proof T-shirt. For some folks, this can be a real life saver. Hyperhidrosis is a very real condition and its affect can put a strain on people’s confidence. Overall: Pretty good! I focused more on the pain points and dug into common themes from reviews. Confidence was a biggy, with not being able to wear certain colors being close behind. I think my lines captured the voice of the consumer well.

Lessons: I quickly realized how sensitive I needed to be with this topic. This isn’t for casual folks who sometimes show wet marks on a hot day. No, this is for people who can have overwhelming anxiety about sweat stains, and have a genuine medical condition. The impact of this shirt can be enormous.

  • The reviews opened themes I hadn’t thought about. It really helped bring people’s struggle to life.
  • There were some style issues on the women’s version. There’s enough room for a whole new list of female-based lines if anyone wants to give it a go.

Time: About 1:15. I spent a little more time getting to know the consumer today. Diving into reviews takes time.
